this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Oh no!! The Saints lost a game! Look, we're half-way into the season y'all and the Saints are still on top of the division. Did you actually think at the beginning of the year that they'd be on top? Thank-you ...

The Sky is Falling!!!
Oh no!! The Saints lost a game!
Look, we're half-way into the season y'all and the Saints are still on top of the division. Did you actually think at the beginning of the year that they'd be on top? Thank-you Dallas. New Orleans 5-2 Atlanta (Saints beat them, remember?) 5-2 Carolina 4-4 Tampa Bay 2-5 Of course, everywhere I look people are putting the Fall-clowns on top but it's the Saints, folks. Relax. Get angry later. We can still revel in our first place ranking for at least another week. |

RE: The Sky is Falling!!!
I'll get mad when we get beat by sucky/mediocre teams. The Ravens are division leaders and have the best D in the NFL right now. We had a bad game. If we would play the Ravens later in the season, we may not win, but the game would be much closer.

Yup. I'm kind of glad the loss came. No. 1, it wasn't a division game, and no. 2, it wasn't a conference game, so I dont' think it's going to hurt us down the road. I think a swift kick in the rear, is a good thing from time to time, to keep the team hungry anyway.

The problem is that most of us remember a couple of years ago. Driving home after the game that put us at 6-1 and listening to Buddy Dee say there was no way to miss the playoffs. We finished 9-7 and, as usual, watched the playoffs on TV.

exactly poydras.... i remember it too.... buddy d even berated one of his callers who was saying they may have this second half meltdown, saying it was rediculous to even think that way.... well, suffice to say, we didn't make the playoffs.... i don't want that to happen.... i really think that if the team stays focused we'll have a good chance at making the conf. championship this year.... no bowl, but nfc champ. is a good possibility....
