Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets have waived TE Zach Hilton.

I doubt it'll happen. I like the threat that Hilton is in the passing game, but in this scheme, it's block first, catch second for TEs. He'd be an improvement as a 3rd WR right now, though.

i think Payton likes guys who "play to their potential" rather than guys who "have potential"

I dont think Hilton has potential...i think he has height...thats it. There is a reason he didnt cut it here...there is a reason he didnt cut it with the Jets...there is a reason why no other team is pouncing on him...he isnt good. He is just tall.
