That is what I saw in the Saints. Not a team ready for a midseason debacle but one that had alot of talent, and just came out flat and could not get back in the game. So chRxis or chrixs or Carl Smith whoever you are bare with a team who has more years of experience and far more talent before we start our semipredictions of midseason demise. |

that's precisely what i'm trying to dispell.... when did anyone ever predict a midseason demise? i was concerned about the direction they MIGHT head, but never once declared this in fact the end of the road as far as winning is concerned... that's the illogical conclusion that everyone else seemed to jump to when i voiced my concern.... everyone seemed to think i was trying to incite the "doom and gloom" attitude of the past decade, but in fact, i was just trying to promote an attitude of not even letting one game that we are supposed to win should slip from our grasp... if the ravens would have beat us and only the ravens, i would have been less concerned.... but when we turned the ball over and had penalties galore, that's internal, coaching problems and i saw shades of the former regime.... that was my concern...

I will go politics on you and use your words against you
"look i'm glad we're 5-2 but honestly we very well could let this early season success go to the wayside and have a bad end of the season and miss the playoffs." "when i see us come out and play like st. jude's catholic blind girls powderpuff football team after a bye week, i start to see that we aren't where we need to be.... they were probably sitting back thinking they got everything figured out and then all of sudden when week 14 gets here we may be on the outside looking in if this continues... we looked foolish today and i'm hoping that it was a one week thing, but i'm very afraid that it isn't" |

"i'm hoping that it was a one week thing, but i'm very afraid that it isn't"
I'm hoping to be a millionaire, but I'm very afraid I won't Yes I did notice you left yourself open for interpretation in each of your post with the "could be" "might be" the fact is when a "fan" says their team "MIGHT" miss the playoffs because they are 5-2 at the timeit doesn't speak well to that persons confidence in the team they love. Look I understand you were upset. We all were. The good portion of that loss was to see the team keep truckin' and make the score look decent shows that this team are NOT the old Saints. They WILL be in the playoffs, and just to let you know...................There are good losses and bad losses. The Ravens loss was a slap in the face and the Saints showed their reaction to it this week. The Ravens were not a push over by any means, and we got behind early on some mistakes. Oh well the team put it behind them and ripped the Bucs! Go Saints and there is no ambiguity about this.............WE WILL SEE OUR TEAM AT HOME THE SECOND WEEK OF THE PLAYOFFS! |

i can't get with the idea of "they were a good team, so it's ok that we lost to them".... what the hell is the playoffs going to bring us? and what will the attitude be then? let me say it for the last time.... a loss, any loss, is bad... there is nothing good about dropping a game "here and there" and dropping in the standings at the same time.... i don't care how much you learn from it, a loss is not a good thing....

oh and by the way, i never said they'd miss the playoffs.... i felt they'd make the playoffs, b/c i felt they'd right the ship sooner rather than later, but still i wanted to voice my concern, and being this a place for saints fan to rant and rave about the good and the bad, this is where i came to do just that....
