Don`t Forget Brees
Colston, Strief, and Henderson are getting well deserved atta-boys on here and I totally agree. And I would also like to point out the nearly flawless presentation againt the TampaBucks from our QB Drew Brees;
314 yds, 3 TD, zero INT ...... thats just good numbers, and I realize thats mostly because of the protection he got in the pocket from the Oline, but the good numbers also has alot to do with putting the ball on the money, under pressure, and many times on 3rd-n- long situations. Brees led the offense to 17 points in the first 3 possesions of the game,.. thats refreshing. |

The thing is, he's so consistent (last week notwithstanding) that it's easy to overlook what he does. He's not just a "game manager" by any means.

Back onto Brees. I think he's getting better as the season goes on, as is the O-Line (Brown is out and we still allow no sacks). If we can play like this week in/week out, we're set for the playoffs. |

RE: Don`t Forget Brees
One more thing about Brees is the way he slides around in the pocket buying time. Hes not a mobile QB like a McNabb or Vick, but hes no statue either. Its amazing to watch him avoid pressure and then step up in the pocket and throw. I think he may be the best QB we've had since Hebert.

Two words: Poise & Leadership.
Those are two things this team has been missing for a long, long time at the QB position. Brees has both. |
