RE: incouraging stats...........................
i don't think anyone here is in the mindset that we won't make the playoffs... it's a matter of how are we going to play once we're there.....

Every game down the stretch needs to be in comparison to those two teams. Chicago and New York play each other this week. Rooting for the Giants to make Grossman look bad. A couple more games like Arizona and Miami, and the Bears will be worrying about Minnesota again and fall out of the race. The Giants still need to deal with the rest of the NFC South, including us. They still have 3 more division games, and they still need to play a resurgent Jacksonville. No easy walk in the park. Every week down the stretch is a playoff game. A couple of things the Saints need to work on is how to combat really good defenses, and how to better stop the run game. We'll get 4 shots at decent defenses down the stretch, playing Pittsburg, New York, Dallas, and Carolina. Pittsburg (especially at home), Atlanta, New York have really good run games. So this week looms large for the Saints. By Sunday night we could effectively be in control of oout playoff destiny. So let's take care of business. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Ever since the re-alignment, my two biggest concerns have always been sticking it to ATL and CAR consistently. The probability of the playoffs sure do look better now though with the removal of Aaron. It was the most significant move in the offseason. I like a QB who is up for some excitement of a football game.
