we all want donte to sign. I hope the hammie is done for the season. Go donte. that extra 3 would make a world of difference on day one of the draft.

yeah, i'm pulling for donte, b/c he's one of the guys that worked hard and improved over the course of a couple of years even when the times got rough over in NOLA.... w/ the draft pick aside, i hope donte' gets back on the field in a hurry, b/c he's going to be very exciting to watch w/ the scheme that mcnabb and eagles will employ w/ stallworth in the lineup

I credit Stallworth with actually caring about the N.O. community and surrounding areas based on his comments about wanting to be at the Saints/Falcons game, but as far as being a dedicated NFL WR and working hard to harness his ability I'd have to ask you where you got that from?

What you are saying he did is exactly what he didn't do, and why Payton shipped him off.

RE: Re: RE: Info on Stallworth.......

did he not get better over the years? the receiving numbers speak for themselves.... you think he just got better overnight? no.... he worked at it... he and payton didn't mesh nor agree on the idea's they had for the goals of the team or whatever so he was shipped elsewhere... not to mention, they liked what they saw in some guy from hostra..... the guy has a legitimate medical condition (the hamstring thing), which is actually attributed to overworking the hamstrings in an effort to becoming faster, so i can't discredit him there....

You're right. Outstanding work ethic. He's such a hard worker he injures himself and can't play on Sundays.

Where's the "Jesus Christ" emoticon?

i'm asking you a legitimate question.... did he not improve over the years? i'm not saying he has the greatest work ethic ever, but he got better some kind of way.... and the hamstring injury is a result of overtraining them couple with incorrect training form... happens quite often to athletes, but with donte' it was a chronic condition....

RE: Re: RE: Info on Stallworth.......

If you have the pure talent he has, you wind up in an offense that has to pass more often than run because they're behind so often, and the #1 WR on the team winds up not playing as often (last year) because of injuries, wouldn't it be difficult to not put up halfway decent numbers (which is what he did; not even getting to 1,000yds)?

Joe Horn's comments after the trade should be all you need to have heard to know why Stallworth isn't a Pro Bowl caliber WR.

And on that over training thing - Does any other NFL player try to get faster and work their hamstrings? Cause there's no one that misses as many games because of their hammy's as Stallworth.
