........and the fumblerowskie. Honestly was that play designed? If you watch Brees he is dropping back like he is going to pass the ball the whole time.

I have the game Tivo'd and when it went to commercial I watched that play over and over. Dreww pulled up from center "pretending" to have the ball the whole time. That was a designed snap to Mcallister, however it may have not been designed to roll on the ground but then again, maybe Faine is that good. Obviously Drew was faking to have the ball and was in no way worried he didn't have it.

I just dont agree with the statement "we gave the game away". We got beat... By the defending world champs that chose to emerge from a mistake frenzy streak and return to superbowl caliber football on our visit to THEIR house..... and the victors of this game know they were only one tiny mistake away from putting up another L .

I don't see how you don't think that we should have won that game. Yeah, we were down 14 pts early. We came back to take a 7 pt halftime lead. We're rolling. Second half we give up two big runs, linebackers and corner out of position. Then we have 2 fumbles that kill us. One was at the 25 yrd line in a possible game tying drive. We also missed a field goal with the game tied (whether it was a bad snap of just a miss, it still cost us 3 points). We had that game. We were driving the ball nearly every time we had the ball.

I'm not trying to be critical. I just think that we could have and should have won that game. I am glad we are 6-3 and I'm glad everyone is trying to take it one game at time, but we have a very real opportunity to do something special with this team. And it sucks to see them not finish that game strong.

Where is Fred Thomas? He's going to wind up being the Saints' Joe DiMagio. Without him playing at top speed the secondary is a liability and was evident this week. This was a game easily within reach and no matter what anyone says, the defending superbowl champs needed all the help the Saints could give them to pull out this win - and looked really bad giving up 31 points and over 500 yards of total offense.
