Questionable no call in the game?
I had a question about an early no call in the Saints-Steelers game. I think it was in the first quarter when Colston (?) was interfered in the end zone. A flag was thrown and then was picked up.
The ref explained that it was not a foul because the QB was out of the pocket. Does this make sense? Am I missing some rule change? |

RE: Questionable no call in the game?
Yeah if the quarterback is out of the pocket and running the WR can then become a blocker and the DB's can act accordingly but the problem comes when QB lets up on the run and decides to thow the ball. It becomes a judgement call at that point. You can't hold the WR nor the DB if they are 'engaged' in blocking ect once the ball is in the air or they better let up on the engagement... it becomes a judgement call.
