Just curious (...from Stealthman)

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I don't do this often, but I want to know what topic/theme you'd like to see in my next column. Whatever the majority states, I'll give it a shot. Thanks in advance for your participation. --Stealthman...

The 3rd round pick to the Chargers has piqued my interest. Is it true or false?

we all talk about the big players and draft picks that are playing. Got any insider info on players the saints are high on for the future that is not really seeing the field this year?

Rob Ninkovich, Zach Strief, & Jammal Branch are all names I've heard from inside the organization. Believe it or not, I've heard that Gibbs was expecting Ninkovich to push Will Smith for his DE spot before next season. That one really surprised me even though Nink was showing some skills before his injury. I haven't heard much of anything else other than those three.

I still dont get the jamaal branch on the practice squad deal...I thought he played harder and was a greater asset to us than Stecker all the way around...People say we needed a reciever out of the backfield,,,we already have one, his name is Reggie Bush...and last time I checked Deuce did an OK job in that area as well...Branch was a hard N-S runner...he could rest Deuce a spell every now and then without having to pass when Deuce aint in the game...

I would like to here more about Branch...and how Ninko is doing

Can you interview any (if not all) offensive linemen? Those guys weren't given much chance beginning this season and they've been just shy of spectacular in my opinion. Todays run-blocking was great.

Other than Jamal Brown, I think you're right......they're the unsung heros. As for Brown......sorry, but I'd rather see Strief. Brown has gotten beat by just about everyone. Today, I watched him block air on several plays. I think he also leads the league in false start penalties, doesn't he? I say put the man mountain (Strief) in & let him annihilate people!
