Well people....you tell me. Shinn said it. Does New Orleans Hornets owner George Shinn seem to have an understanding of Saints fans?? |

I think that Shinn, in general, was speaking about Hornets fans in his comment. That said, he is the last owner in the NBA that needs to question his fanbase. While not as scumbag as Jeffery Loria, he is the closest thing basketball has to him. After firing a perfectly good coach in Paul Silas, I\'m not sure even he understands the hypocracy of his statement. A man that can take a team to the playoffs with his 2 stars hurt for the majority of the year and a team that, like all others in the East suffers from acute lack of center syndrome (a.k.a. -- \"Dear God, we have to play Shaq again?!!\" disease in medical terms) deserves an extension, not a pink slip.
The Hornets still feel like the Charlotte franchise and basketball is fairly new to NO. If he\'s patient, he will definately get his fanbase. the Saints have a super loyal one. After this much frustration you have to be loyal. Besides, everytime I\'ve gone to the Dome, it\'s a party! I love our team! So does all of NO. |

Especially if they get Mike \"Mighty Mouse\" Fratello. I became a Hornets fan as soon as they moved to New Orleans just for the fact they are a homestate team. Honestly, the only time I hope the Hornets lose is when they play the Cavs where Silas is at now along with King James.

BPF2 Shinn was talking about Saints fans. Here\'s the quote again:
\"I don\'t know if the people in this community, based on their history, (believe that) once you get to the playoffs, you\'re a success. That\'s not the case with us.\" When he says \'their history\' he means the Saints because, he says \'us\' meaning the Hornets later in the quote. Bad thing is that he\'s pretty much right. |
