I don't like doing this but oh well..................
Well so far We have played up and down football, and I must say that this loss was the most dissheartening, but to make myself feel better I have outlined the Saints current wins and losses with what the majority of fans, experts, and joe schmos have said and here is how the Saints have fared so far..............................
Browns - the result was a W and most people saw this game as a Saint win. So I have (1-0 predicted) (1-0 actual) Packers - In Lambaugh and the result was a high scoring win. I think this is where we all fond out how good this offense was and how terrible the defense will be. However I don't believe anyone else saw this one coming so I am giving it (1-1 predicted) (2-0 actual) Falcons - Welcome home Saints in a big way. The Saints dominated every aspect of the game and rolled through the Falcons. However every single expert was secretly rooting for Vick to light up the field on Monday night. sooooooo (1-2 predicted) (3-0 actual) Panthers - Time for a let down. The Saints come out flat and can't play the catch up game successfully. Oh well everyone figured there would be some form of a letdown after the Superdome drama the week before. (1-3 predicted) (3-1 actual) Bucs - Last minute Bush heroics and the Saints pull on out of their ass for a close win. I don't know a soul who thought the Bucs would be close in this game let alone have a chance to win it so (2-3 predicted) (4-1 actual) Eagles - This was hard fought, and we played it smart to win this game despite no love from anyone(who isn't a Saints fan) (predicted 2-4) (acutal 5-1) Bye Ravens - This one was lost from the coin toss, and even with all the hoopla everyone saw it coming. Still tough to swallow for most (predicted 2-5) (5-2 actual) Bucs - Once again the favorites become the victors (3-5 predicted) (6-2 actual) Steelers - Reigning Superbowl champs in Pittsburgh you knew Pitt was due for a win and they got it (3-6 predicted) (6-3 actual) Bengals - Well they had lost 3 straight and needed a win to stay in the playoff hunt. I saw alot of Bengal love from the sports experts because of the need for a win. (3-7 predicted) (6-4 actual) Well what can I say...........Sportswriters were Nostradomus we'd be getting ready for the 2007 draft, but with the Falcons up, and it being in Atlanta we are now in the Bengals situation. We have San Fran at home, and they are no longer an automatic win. Next is Dallas in Dallas with Glenn and Owens looking to light up our suspect D. Washington is playing for next year so hopefully that is a win. The Giants will be big because of the spanking we got last year, and I don't think Horn has forgotten that. Then it is Carolina in the dome and this game may very well determine who goes to the playoffs. I really hope this is a slap in the face to the Saints Defense and that they step up. So without further ado (5-11 predicted) (11-5 still to come) |
