How close did the Saints come to having Romo instead Bree's?
For the past three years, I have lived out in the dallas area, and I have to say that the amount of cowboy's coverage out here is silly. With that being said, one of the local radio host made a comment that Sean Payton *who taught, picked, and molded Romo* offered the Cowboys a 4th round pick the moment he got the saints coaching job. Is there any truth to this, I know that Payton is a big fan of Romo, and Parcell's really wasnt too high on him or any other QB outside of Bledsoe until recently.

Interesting...i dont know how much truth there is to it because Loomis and Payton have been steadfast in saying that they targeted Brees from day 1...but at the same time, it does make a little bit of sense. Either way, I am glad we went the route we did.

Romo would have been cheaper than Brees. Maybe they wanted him as a backup.
