To be honest about San Fran
I don't want to sound like a cocky Saints fan but I honestly don't think that they have a chance against us.
It's not that I think that they are a bad team, there are improving. It's just I don't think that they can keep up with our offense. We have about 1500 more passing yards this year. We score two touchdowns a game more. And we have proven that no defense can stop us from moving the ball so if we just hold on to it we can score at will against anyone. I just think that even if Gore runs on us and gains lets say 120 yards. They just won't be able to score enough. To be honest I think that we can stack the box to shut him down. I don't see Smith as rushing threat like Vick. So I think that we can employ the same type of defence we applied on the Falcons and it would work out fine. Stack the box and play a little man-man coverage. Saints 34 San Fran 24 |

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. On any given Sunday a bad team can beat a good team, that's why they play the game on the field. We have a lot of injuries, and then there is the whole psychological aspect of traditionally losing to the 49ers, that the team must overcome. I desparately want the Saints to win this game, but nothing is written in stone yet.

mjf has a point. Look at Atl. and Detroit or Atl. and Cleveland. How about the Giants and the Titnas. We have to play the game. As for the psychology though....I think that that issue is no longer. Especially since creation of the 4 divisions sent San Fran packing a while ago.

I actually think it's going to be a very close game. San Fran isn't the same San Fran from years past... they're a pretty decent team this year and has a beast for a running back.

I think our pass rush and coverage (hopefully) will take away whatever plans they had for passing in their game plan...That leaves Gore and our Rush Defence...If the D is ready for it, I look for Hollis and Fujita to have big days for us and hopefully Danny Clark Stuffing him on 3rd downs...
I think the Gibbs and the D would be well advised to listen to whatever Danny Clark has to say about the Niners offense...I think the Niners and Raiders still play eachother every for the crosstown rivalry game??? Anybody know??? |

don't think so jr....one is AFC and the other is NFC. They play each other like once every 4 years.

I checked his game log at NFL.com....He has never played against SF...While in Jacksonville he played Carolina several times...that may help...Our former Eagles should all be useful against the Redskins...
