Week 13 Playoff Race Update
After 12 games, the NFC looks like this:
NFL Standings - 2006 z- Chicago 10 2 0 New Orleans 8 4 0 Dallas 8 4 0 Seattle 8 4 0 Carolina 6 5 0 NY Giants 6 6 0 Atlanta 6 6 0 Philadelphia 5 6 0 St. Louis 5 7 0 Minnesota 5 7 0 San Francisco 5 7 0 One more win by the Saints ensures that SF, Minn and STL can't squeeze out the Saints for a wild card by virtue of superior conference record/head to head. If Philly loses tonight, one more win guarrantees a Saints playoff birth. Two more wins, one of them against Carolina guarrantees a Divisional crown based on a superior conference record. Only winning out ensures a 1st round bye. Seattle has an easy schedule and doesn't play the Saints. |

RE: Week 13 Playoff Race Update
As I said weeks ago we will be cheering for them the rest of the season.
If Philli beats Carolina they not only give us a 2 game lead in the division but in the playoff race. NFC Seed Team Record 1 Chicago 10-2 (NFC North leader) 2 New Orleans 8-4 (NFC South leader) 3 Seattle 8-4 (NFC West leader) 4 Dallas 8-4 (NFC East leader) The Rest 5 N.Y. Giants 6-6 6 Carolina 6-5 7 Minnesota 5-7 8 Philadelphia 5-6 9 San Francisco 5-7 10 St. Louis 5-7 The others do not matter... Love saying that. GO EAGLES |
