RE: A Superbowl Threat???
Well, I read today that the matchup of SAINTS/Charges is paying 7-2 by some oddsmakers -- the 2nd most likely matchup behind Bears?Chargers. That means that at least the bookmakers think the SAINTS have a damned good chance of making it to the Big Game.

Oh, and I am NOT just a poser jumping on the SAINTS bandwagon because they are having a great season. I've been a die-hard fan since i moved to New Orleans as a kid in 1970.
I have ALWAYS believed, have you??? |

RE: A Superbowl Threat???
Been a Saints fan since watching my first NFL game at my grandfather's house 20 years ago. I put $50 on the Saints winning the Superbowl at the beginning of the season at 75-1 odds.

This is the year to do it if there ever was one before some key components start dibbing into Benson's pocketbook and taking full credit for the team's rich success.

Duece, no one questioned my loyalty, I was just making a point after I saw the "Warning, Beware" thread by redjem25. This was the first time I created a poll and I did not want anyone to think I was some goober that just jumped on the train for the first time and started shouting "SAINTS all the way to the Superbowl"!!!
But, it sure is nice to know that they actually have a legitimate shot at making it this year if 1) we don't suffer too many more injuries to key people, 2) we keep playing with the same intensity we have been lately, and 3) God doesn't look down and say that we've had enough fun and our good fortune is over. Oh well, wherever this leads and whenever it ends, it has been and still is a great season. I just hope it does not end until Superbowl Sunday! |
Go SAINTS!!!!!

This is as good a year as there has ever been for ANY NFC team to get to the Super Bowl, so if you're not thinking Saints for the Super Bowl right now, shame on you. Of course you say "one game at a time" and all of those football cliches', but geez looking at the NFC even the most pessimistic Saints fan has to like our chances.
By the way where did Poydras go? She said we were supposed to be reverting back to the same ol Saints after the Ravens game. |

Poydras is probably too busy making another thread about how the only true Saints fans are people who buy season tickets.
