this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I wouldn't be surprised if it was. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/6411270...

RAMS busted... could it be Turley?.....
This was in today\'s Picayune, maybe it was an ex Saint
http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index...1720200980.xml » More From The Times-Picayune Sports News League penalizes Rams Cleeland\'s latest injury allegedly prompts call to players association Sunday June 08, 2003 The St. Louis Rams\' offseason program will end one week sooner than scheduled after NFL officials determined they violated the league\'s collective bargaining agreement. The Rams apparently held seven-on-seven drills on a day in April that did not fall within the designated practice days outlined by the NFL Players Association. Here\'s the rest of the story: Word out of St. Louis is Rams tight end Cam Cleeland, a third-round pick by the Saints in 1997, was injured during the passing drills, prompting a call to the NFLPA by a Rams teammate. The NFLPA and NFL Management Council launched an investigation and found the Rams guilty as charged. Ex-Saints left tackle Kyle Turley, who was traded to St. Louis in March for a second-round pick in 2004, has denied a report on CBSsportsline.com that he or any other teammate blew the whistle on Rams coach Mike Martz. Turley served as a player\'s representative in New Orleans and often was critical of the Saints\' labor practices during the offseason. \"No player turned us in,\" Turley told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. \"I\'ve talked to (NFLPA executive director) Gene Upshaw. It was not a player. \"There are new rules (governing offseason workouts) every year. This was just a misunderstanding.\" Misunderstanding or not, the Rams must forfeit their last practice week of the offseason (June 16-20). A postscript to the story: Make no mistake, the Rams are not the only NFL team that violates the spirit and letter of the offseason laws. They just got caught. [Edited on 6/8/2003 by saint5221] |

RAMS busted... could it be Turley?.....
So the Lambs, the \"real\" NFL per Kyle Turley, got busted for holding practice when they weren\'t allowed to huh? Turns out it was yet another injury to Cam Cleeland that ultimately got \'em busted!
...guys...is that not simply DELICIOUS?!? By the way, from that Turley article it sounds to me like Kyle has been holding a grudge since he bought the Benz from Benson. Am I to understand that Klye\'s agent is the one who told him how bad the deal was. Maybe Kyle skipped \"How to Buy a Car 101\" in college in favor of surfing or something. Last time I checked Business is Business and ignorance is no excuse. Looks like Kyle\'s got enough ignorance to go around. :P |
