I Have a Bad Feeling About This - Part III
We dropped a game that we should have won, which now places us in a statistical tie with Dallas for the #2 spot in the playoffs and a 1st round bye. We own the tie breaker, but Dallas has an easier remaining schedule than we do. They play Eagles at home and then the Lions at home. We play the Giants on the road, who are fighting for their playoff lives, barely hanging onto the final spot, and the Panthers, who are always dangerous, at home. The Eagles are a team due for a loss, while the Giants are a team due for a win. We have to remain at least even with Dallas during the next two weeks, in order to secure our first ever play off bye week.

RE: I Have a Bad Feeling About This - Part III
Truthfully I'm not sure this isn't a bad position. One thing that we've now seen is that the 2006 Saints are not yet consistent enough to be able to sit back and win football games. Playing with some fire is what has gotten this team to where it is so far. Part of the dismantling of Dallas was due to feeling disrespected.
Successful playoff teams get or remain hot in December. I think having a must win attitude going down the stretch is a good thing. SFIAH |

Another factor for the Saints, will be whether or not Delhomme is back for the final game of the season. I like our chances with Weinke in there. We used him as a pinata, for the first 2 seasons he played. Delhomme seems to take it personal, to beat the Saints everytime he plays us. Probably because we dropped him for Brooks..... Yeah that's it.

The ONLY thing possibly good about this loss is one last reminder of how a loss feels. It could be a nice time to refocus off of the highs of the previous weeks.
This was a classic NFL letdown game. Now, we just need to start a 5 game win streak. That's right. We win our next five and we'll have the Lombardi trophy |

Have you thought about what it would be like to win the Super Bowl? I mean, reeeeallly thought about it? That would wipe out every doubt, for the rest of my life as a Saints fan. No more "aint's" references, and no more "bag" memories. That sounds like heaven to me.
