this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If you were going to bring a 6 year old to his 1st Saints game, which would you recommend? I want that dome ROCKIN! I'm debating between Tampa Bay and Atlanta. But good tickets may be too hard to come ...

I'm debating between Tampa Bay and Atlanta. But good tickets may be too hard to come by. Will it still be rockin for somebody like Chicago or Carolina? Those would be much easier to get good seats to. [Edited on 11/6/2003 by tweeky] |

Tampa Bay.......defending world champs. seems like a good enough reason to me. At least he can say he got to see the champs play and hopefully get beat.

Ah, yes. Tampa Bay would be a good choice for his first game, BUT....The history of the Falcons/Saints rivalry runs much deeper than the Bucs/Saints. New Orleans/Atlanta games usally always come down to the last minute or two. That\'s my opinion on what game you should take him to. And teach him the ways of the world right......TEACH HIM TO HATE THE FALCONS. Oh yeah, a few harmless obscenities at Michael Vick will suffice as well......j/k :P

If it\'s the November 12th Falcons game I\'ll see you there. My first Saints game as well.

tampa without question
atlanta games can get to be like soccer games in europe depending on were you sit, if you can\'t get good tix to that game i wouldn\'t take my kid tampa should be much tamer but still a good game, the carolina game should be a good one too you guys suck by the way, i miss the dome, now i have to hope that the saints play teams in the DC region which sucks, i\'m going to washington and philly this year and i\'m a little scared, i hear philly is nasty last year i went to the baltimore game and was pleasantly surprised at the fans in baltimore, they even have a catch phrase that they announce before every game concerning fans trash talking each other: \'don\'t be a jerk\', the whole stadium chants it in unison when it\'s announced, i only had one peanut thrown at me the whole game! i usually go down to carolina for that game every year, if anyone is venturing up that far let me know |

Take the kid to see Michael Vick. As much as I hated to see him run around the dome tearing our defense to shreds, it was the most exciting thing I saw in the dome all year long (With Michael Lewis nearly breaking every punt he returned wide open being a close second). Twenty years from now your son will be able to say I saw Michael Vick in his prime (or close to it anyway). To me thats more exciting than watching the Saints play last years Superbowl champions.
