If Dallas loses tomorrow nite......
Then I believe that the Saints will have the number 2 seed wrapped up, and that means that we wont have to start most of our starter against the Panthers next week. That would be groovy, although I might be inclined to play them some, to keep momentum. it would be sick if someone got injured in a meaningless game.

That's right, if the Eagles beat the Cowboys the Saints get the #2 seed and get the bye, if that doesn't happen we have to beat the Panthers next week, I like our chances in getting the #2 seed...

But considering that Dallas will be playing Detroit at home... We probably will need to beat the Panthers to secure the seed. SFIAH (Eagles fan at least for tomorrow) |

If the Cowboys lose tomorrow night the Saints get the #2 seed, doesn't matter the outcome in week 16 if the Eagles win tomorrow...

dont worry about the game with the cowboys tomorrow. The saints just need to take care of business next week with the panthers, and the bye is all ours.

I just love how we are all talking about the Saints getting a bye. We were 3-13 last season! This season is just amazing! Merry Christmas everyone!

The Saints-Panthers game is going to be somewhat interesting. In watching most of the Carolina-Atlanta game yesterday, it's clear that Dan Henning has decided to revert to the running game. Weinke only threw 7 passes the whole game, completing 4 including a TD. The game featured nearly 10 direct snap single wing plays to DeAngelo Williams where Weinke wasn't even in the game.
So it'll be interesting because the Saints haven't played a team that is wholly committed to the run. The Falcons seemed powerless to stop it. Of course the Falcons offense is totally anemic too. I wonder if Carolina will keep the strategy if they ar 14 points behind. I figure that Gibbs will commit 9 to the box and dare Weinke to throw the ball over the top. I'm just not sure how Fred "Gameshow" Thomas will do out on an island with any of the three Panther receivers. It'll be good practice if Dallas loses today. It'll be a tough out if we need the game to secure the #2 seed. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
