this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just noticed that the Saints activated Jamal Branch from the practice squad on the 24th. Look for him to see some playing time....

A sign that Deuce and Reggie will see little, if any, action against the Panthers.

I say that if Branch does a good job, we get rid of Stecker. Branch will be a cheaper backup and judging by the preseason he is a really hard runner. We don't need a change of pace back anymore. Let Stecker go.

You bet. I saw this kid at training camp and was impressed. He's going to be a good one I think. Just needs some playing time. |

sweet... me n my step dad was talkin about him the other day but we couldnt remember his name... i hope he gets ample playing time this week so we can see what he really can do against a pretty good carolina D... they still have a shot at the playoffs so im sure they will be fighting for that spot

I wonder if the Saints will go for the win against the Panthers, 11-5 going into the playoffs would be big but at the same time I understand that you don't want key players to get injured, I guess we won't know for sure who's playing until Sunday morning..
Personally I'd love for us to beat the Panthers being we owe them one, maybe we can beat them without our starters, that would be a huge insult to the Panthers.. I think it's important for Jamie Martin to play some this game going into the playoffs, might be good for us if he starts the game and plays 4 Qtrs to give him the feel of the game being he hasn't played in a regular game since last season, for those who aren't familiar with Martin might be surprised in how well this guy plays the game, he's a great backup to Brees IMO.. |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

I look for the backups to play quite a bit. I don't think Payton will take the risk of getting our starters hurt before the playoffs. Besides, he know i'll be in the stands for the playoff game!
