[quote="saintpaul25"]I have to dissagree Boba. As I stated in another post, MVP, to me, means a player, on a team, that makes a team successful. Now, with that said, I am not saying that the Chargers aren't a better team with Tomlinson, don't get me wrong. I am saying, that without Tomlinson the Chargers still go to the play offs. Without Brees, the Saints are still in the cellar. Not to mention, beating Manning in passing yards is a hell of an accomplishment on it's on. That touchdown record has been beaten three times in five seasons. I understand he did it in fewer games, but still, it's been beaten alot.
quote] I see where you are coming from in calling it the Most "Valuable" Player. The thing is, most voters dont see it that way. The award typically goes to the guy who puts up the best numbers and that is Tomlinson...now whether the cemantics of the rule are right or wrong, thats a different story. But given the history of the voting, everyone had to know that Tomlinson would win the award going away. |
It's all in the reflexes.
