well i cant help but to relate sean payton to bill cower! cower took over the steelers as a young head coach, never (head) coaching in the past (just like payton). he immediately cut a couple high draft pics and got everyone's attention (just like payton). cower had a way of demanding the respect of his players while giving them the respect and attention that nfl players need in order for them to stay motivated (payton seems to be doing a great job of this). and most important....both took their teams to the playoffs the first season!!!! let us all hope that sean payton can take on the new orleans saints job with the continued success for years to come as bill cower has with the steelers over the past years!!!

i am so excited about the next few weeks but its hard not to think for just a second....we may be looking at a DOMINATE team for the next 10 years to come!!! WE KNOW WHO WERE THE TEAMS OF THE 80'S, 90'S, 00'S...NOW ITS OUR TURN BOYS!!!!

Amen, I'm hoping that Payton's career plays out like Cowher's, Shanahan's or Andy Reid - that the Saints are highly competitive every year and the Super Bowl is usually within reach.
