Hollis faces former team

Saturday, Hollis Thomas will return to the Saints line up against his former team. Thomas signed with Philly as a rookie free agent in 1996, and played there until signing with the Saints for the 2006 season. After 11 years in the NFL, Hollis was on track to break his season high tackling record of 44 unasist, but was suspended for the last 4 games due to breaking the NFL substance abuse policy for steroids.

There has been some concern about Hollis' condition coming back after 4 weeks off to play in a crucial NFC playoff game. Radio talk show host Kenny Wilkerson asked Joe Horn last Thursday what his thoughts were about Hollis' return, and Hollywood had this to say " I was in the pool this week when Hollis came through and I can tell you he has lost weight and looks more cut than I`ve ever seen him". "I can tell just by looking at him that he`s been doing some serious working out".

Also, in a brief radio interview Hollis was asked about who he thought the Saints would play in the playoffs and would he be ready, Hollis was very brief and replied "I really don`t care who we play, all I know is that whoever lines up in front of me is gonna get the chuckin' of their life".

I don`t know about you, but that makes me smile. Eat `em up Tank!

RE: Hollis faces former team

HOLLIS! He's already angry for being suspended. He's going to take it out on the Eagles on Saturday. I think our defense is going to approach Garcia, the same way they did Romo. KEEP HIM IN THE POCKET. He makes more plays on the run. Any Saints fans here, that were around during the old NFC West days, knows that we remember Garcia. Joe Johnson and La Roi Glover used to play "meet in the middle", and destroy him. I'm thinking Smith, and Grant are going to be doing the same thing.

When Garcia gets rattled, he makes mistakes. And once he makes one, guaranteed he's going to make a few. Anybody remember that game in the Dome against the 49ers, when Garcia threw the water bottle in frustration? I think we sacked him 5 or 6 times that game. Heh heh.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

Man, this is EXACTLY the kind of thing the Eagles did NOT want, Hollis is P.O'd, and he's gonna take it out on that O'Line and QB. Seeing it is the team that gave up on this huge talent, all the more motive, my friends!!! :08:

You are so right, we saw a little of that in the Giant game, he better eat a lot of gumbo before the game because the Saints will try to get after him all night come Saturday.

I live near Philly, and Hollis is one of the players that they talk about on talk radio. I think most of the Eagles fans around here think that he's the same player that he was with the eagles. Prove them wrong Hollis!!!!!!

One question, what's up with his asthma medication? Did he get his prescription changed, or is he taking weaker meds for it?

The Saint front office, NFL, or Hollis himself isn`t saying anything about his asthma medication. Nothing. Which makes me wonder if it was the asthma medication that was in queston to begin with, or if that was the excuse... idk.

I'm glad Hollis is back. We are going to need him to stop their running game. I think everyone on defense will be ready to play.
