keys to the game.........
Well well well, here we are in the divisional playoffs playing a hot Eagles team who have won 6 straight. We are 5-5 since beating the Eagles early this season. So there is no doubt who the hot team is in this one. However, the Eagles struggled against a poor Giants team, so here are my keys for a Saints win......
- contain Jeff Garcia - Garcia throws best when the play breaks down and he scrambles to the outside. If he has to sit back and make a quick decision then he WILL throw interceptions. - get Westbrook on the ground. If you miss a tackle on Westbrook he will make you pay for it with 6 points on the scoreboard. This is what I am most scared of. After seeing the Steelers game, and what a decent back can do t this defense. - keep Stallworth in front of the DBs. We all know him, and we all hate him, but when he is healthy he can burn anybody. As long as he doesn't get passed the coverage we should be fine. - Drew needs to drop and release. The Eagles will be bringing a blitz for as long as they can. If Brees can get a deep on to Henderson, or pick the D apart with quick drop passes then that will stop the blitzing as quickly as it started. With the stop of the blitz comes an effective pound it out run game. - Big game for all rookies. From Bush to Evans they all need to perform above and beyond their experience. Get Bush going early, and tire this defesne. Once the Eagles D starts attacking Bush go up top to Colston. Evans has been a beast, and he has already played these guys so he has experience, but this is the playoffs, and both of these teams have matured. - Kicking game. NO DROPPED, BOBBLED, BLUBBED, BENT, CRAPPY holds in the kicking game! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So there are my keys. If we can overcome them we can win. If not we are in for a LONG GAME. I also want the "experts" to STOP PICKING US! IT IS OUR JINX, AND I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! |

two keys.
you saw how emotional the Colts' defense was after being basically told that they couldn't defend anything? They played emotional without any mistakes or long-term fatigue. The Saints' defense needs to take that into account. Execute. Forget the fans. The ticket-buyers will do their part. They will cheer and root for the greatest team in the NFL. The Saints need to execute plays and complete them and hold on to the football. |
