Just got back from the game.......
Wow, what a game. The Golden Deuce did it again. He was not going to be denied. The boys did what they had to do to win this game. Even some of the other people sitting next to me were cringing when Reggie fumbled late in the forth. It started to creep in on us, maybe, just maybe the curse could raise it's ugly head. But no, the Golden Deuce lead the way again. This man is the heart and soul of this team. As he goes, the Saints go. The defense stepped up their game to keep Philly a little off guard. Fujita made the play of the night for the defense. It did seem to me that we should have intercepted at least 3 passes. However, everything worked out for the good.
Well, there won't be any going out for me tonight. Standing for the whole game kinda wore me out. I think I lost 30 pounds in the dome tonigh All I can say is, you shoulda been here. This city is going bonkers. It took me 45 minutes in a cab to go 5 blocks. It's worse than Mardi Gras. God bless our boys and on to the next one. I honestly believe that it doesn't really matter who we play next, after following these guys from training camp to the NFC Championship game, I still say this is a team of destiny. We WILL in the Super Bowl! Get ready people, we're on our way!!!!![/b] |

RE: Just got back from the game.......
JS, I wasn`t there but like alot of us here on this board, I was there with ya with 100% of my spirit glued to the TV. We all watched Deuce run his heart out. Billy Miller also stepped up in some crucial plays when Campbell got shaken up.
I know it means alot to you for being able to witness live a huge milestone in Saints history with even more to come. Enjoy my friend. |

You guys were great!!!! You wanna know how loud it was?? I am in Miami but I can still tell you how loud it was.... this was the first time I have ever heard the sound mic actually sound like static. Normally when a crowd gets loud it sounds loud but smooth or clean. You guys got soooo loud it went from smooth to loud to static. I told my wife..."hey you hear that static coming in from the mic??? Thats how loud it is in that place right now!!" GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!

See I've been to every home playoff game the team has played over the years. I was in the Superdome in the 2000 when Hakim dropped the ball. So I've seen the Saints in playoff games and playoff wins. But I've never been to an NFC championship game. So I sucked it up and watched the game at home last night on the promise of the team winning and going to the NFC championship, which is Undiscovered Country for the Saints and their legion of fans. So I'm going to the game next week. Be it in New Orleans or Chicago. I want to be there when the Saints finally make it to their first Superbowl. I'll deal with that dilemma after next Sunday. Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
