this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hope its not the Colts and Saints in the Superbowl, I have a bad feeling about Wayne and Harrison loose against our corners. I would rather see the Patriots or the Chargers. Come on Seattle....

RE: Pass defense for saints
I really don't care who we play next week, but if our pass defense is as bad as it was last night, then it might actually be better to have Rex Grossman throwing at us rather than Hasselbeck.

How about our front four?
They played well last night, Thomas hurt us some though and the problem is Payton can't correct it now, we go with what we have, it's not all bad.. |

Personally, I would invite a Colts-Saints Super Bowl. What better way for the Saints to have their first appearance than opposing Archie's young lad, huh? Manning Bowl!
And I've seen the top of Peyton's helmet more than I ever have this past month as he hangs his in disappointment and grief to the sideline for not scoring one of his patented Harrison TD's. |

manning might throw for 500 against our secondary, but if they keep settling for field goals like they do ill take our chances.

It's never that simple in the NFL. Everyone thought since the KC running attack was so dominant and that the Colts had the worst run D EVER(no, really) that everyone thought that KC would have a good chance to win the game.
Not so. Any unit can have a big day. Our pass D might show up to the SB (if we get past this next week) and play the game of their lives. I think whatever team we would play in the SB would be in for the fight of their lives. |

I hope that Bullocks spends alot of time on with the jugs machine this week and throughout the offseason. I've seen that guy drop alot of interceptions last year and this year.
As for the secondary covering receivers I have no answers. I just hope that the Saints focus on CB's in the offseason. |
