RE: Injury report comes out today.....
I haven't heard anything, but it would a huge help if he is back for the game. My feeling is that he will play because he wouldn't miss a shot to help get his team to the Super Bowl.

Yes.. my impression was that Joe was going to play pain or not. He is determined to help the team on the field in any way he can and he would pull two groins if he had to to suit up.

The way Joe explained it last week is that it`s not totally up to him, it`s up to Sean whether he plays or not. Joe said he was ready to go last week even though he admitted he was only 75%(which probably means he was closer to 40%). I can just about tell you it`s gonna come down to another game time decision. With a groin pull, you don`t wake up one morning and it`s gone, it hangs on and is easily re-pulled. If you pull a calf, thigh, ankle, etc... you tape it up for support and you continue, but if you try to tape up a groin muscle good enough for support.... well... you get the picture, it would be hard to uh.. manuver.

there was an orthopedic surgeon on ESPN this morning discussing Joe's injury. He basically said that if there's any pain at all, he won't be effective. If he's less than 95%, he shouldn't even think about suiting up because the longer this injury persists, the less likelihood that he will recover and be competitive.
I'm sad about this. |

If he isn't allowed to play this weekend, you could bet the farm he will be playing in the SB. Pulled groin or not, no one can deny Joe a chance to play in the SB, it would take God himself to keep him on the sidelines for that game.

from wwltv.com:
January 17, 2007 Sean Payton said that Joe Horn, Mark Campbell and Omar Stoutmire are all listed as questionable. Campbell didn't practice, Horn did take some reps and Stoutmire worked. Posted by Tom Planchet at January 17, 2007 02:03 PM |
