Blanco thinks they are the New Orleans Louisiana Saints
Today, Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco proclaimed Friday - Sunday "New Orleans Louisiana Saints Black and Gold Weekend" throughout Louisiana and urged fans to display and wear the Saints' colors in support of the team. "Louisiana is a state of believers. Throughout this magical season, we have always believed in the talent and heart of Louisiana's team, our New Orleans Louisiana Saints," Governor Blanco said. "This week the team will play the biggest game in franchise history and Louisiana is coming together to offer prayers and support. I urge Who Dat! fans to display the Saints' team colors at their homes and offices and to wear black and gold all weekend as a sign of support for Louisiana's team."

RE: Blanco thinks they are the New Orleans Louisiana Saints
ha, you don`t think she`s trying to cash in on the Saints success for political points do ya?..... ha, suddenly it`s Louisiana`s team. I dont recall her proclaiming the Saints as Louisiana`s team when they went 3-13 ... typical opportunistic democrat.
I wonder what percent of season ticket holders are from Mississippi? It`s gotta be a big block, anybody know? |

I did a quick research;
Mike Stanfield, VP of Saints ticket sales, said that he wasn`t sure of the exact number of Mississippi season ticket holders but he said it's well into the thousands. Because the storm displaced so many New Orleans residents, the team first estimated that as many as a third of its previous season-ticket holders were living in Mississippi or Alabama. |

I resent her statement. Except for when I was at LSU and a few months when I was doing graduate work in New Orleans, I've lived in Mississippi all my life and have been a season ticket holder since I graduated from college. It seems like she could have, at least, given us a little mention. Typical know nothing, do nothing, democrat.

Ok, first of all, I have a problem with the title of this post...
"Blanco thinks..." You really expect us to believe she's capable of that? |

They are the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS, but they're the GULF COAST team.

They are Lousiana's team but they'll always be the New Orleans Saints IMO
