My weekly 'KEYS TO THE GAME'
I didn't want to skip out on this week's Key's to the game as I see them.
1 - Stop the run. How does a team with an inept QB win 13 games.......................................The run game. Both backs are good and our D is known for letting at least one big run slip through. We CANNOT AFFORD to do this this week. 2. - Run up the middle. With both Deuce and Reggie running well right now, I think that pounding the ball down The Bears throat will make us successful. To add to that Reggie must stay in his lanes. The Bears D is QUICK and Reggie will not be able to get out in space. 3. - Playaction, alot of playaction. If we get the running game going then that sets up playaction. With that I don't believe Brees will get enough time to check down, and go deep. We will have to rely on the short passes, which helps us because it keeps our D rested and not able to let up the big play, because you can't let up a big play if they aren't on the field. 4. - Don't let up the big play. We can not afford to just give up points to their offense and have their Defense back on the field fired up. 5. - Turnovers. We need'em and can't afford to give them up. The bears are the top scoring defense in the league. That means when they get their hands on a turnover they run it into the endzone. If we can stop ourselves from turning the ball over we will have a GREAT shot at the win. 6. - Weather. 30 degrees and snow means alot of slipping and the ground will hurt when your body comes in contact with it. I believe Colston will be able to catch in the snow, and Deuce can run in it. The thing is this is a neutral thing, because Chicago doesn't really play all that well in the snow either. I mean come on we aren't talking about the Packers. 7. - The fans. whether fair weather or hardcore, they will be out in full force. The Saints key is to go up big in the first half. Shut the crowd up, and assure yourself a win. A 17 point lead at half time will push out the fair weathers and keep momentum on us. With all that said GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter what happens this has been the most exciting season in football for me. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Establish a running game and stick with it as long as they can, wear down the Bears front 4..
