It may not have been the weather, but the footballs are not the same as in the dome. Players say the balls are harder, heavier and slicker in the cold weather.
Some ball did get away from Brees and his accuracy was not that great, even though he threw for 324 yards. One thought for away outdoor cold games, cool the footballs down in a freezer or refrig to what the forecasted temp will be in the away game it may make a difference, kicking or throwing a heavier, wetter football outside is not the same as home in the dome. |
