Bears Alfonso Boone and Ian Scott FA DT/NT
Bears free agent defensive tackles Alfonso Boone and Ian Scott are not expected to be re-signed this offseason.
This indicates that Chicago will retain Tank Johnson and remains high on 2006 third-rounder Dusty Dvoracek despite his first year being a wash. Scott might get starter's money as a 4-3 nose, but Boone is unlikely to. Source: Chicago Sun Times http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...aspx?sport=NFL Tank to stay? hmm thought he was a pain in the rear this year. Ian Scott is a good 4th year player. He could be the an answer to NT/DT. The money involved would mean the draft priority at DT would drop to the later rounds I am sure. Boone is another smart old goat at 31. Wonder how he would like to play with Hollis and Young? That would be a nice addition to the rotation and would gives us time to house break a young pup from the draft. |
