RE: Re: B&G Mock Draft 1
I love David Carr... behind a good offensive line. He's going to be in the same situation as he was in Houston. I have no doubt in my mind he would put up monster numbers behind a line like Cincy, KC, San Diego, etc.

With the first pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select Joe Thomas... tackle from the University of Wisconsin. Next on the clock are the Detroit Lions.
Ladies and gentlemen... we have a trade to announce. The Detroit Lions have traded their 2nd overall pick to the Houston Texans for the number 8 pick and quarterback David Carr. Houston you are now on the clock. With the 2nd pick in the NFL draft, the Houston Texans select JaMarcus Russell... quarterback from LSU. Cleveland Browns, you are now on the clock. 8) I was going to add some commentating and interviews... but then it would be to long. |

RE: Re: B&G Mock Draft 1
Al Davis, owner of the Oakland Raiders, discusses his pick with Mel Kiper Jr. and Bunch.
"Well, way we see it we need just about everything. But we decided (we I mean me) that Joe Thomas was too good to pass up. Sure, we woulda liked to have traded down, but hey, it happens sometimes. Thomas will be the LT and Gallery will be the RT, where we believe he needs to be since the beginning. We applaud Robert for being a sport to play LT, but he knows he needs to move. We wll be trying to move back in the second round if anyone is interested" |

Browns Take Calvin Johnson WR GT
The Browns have other needs, especially on defense. Johnson has a size/speed combination never before seen. Plus Johnson has great hands. Johnson would start immediately and give Charlie frye or FA a huge target. Sorry been at work. |

best player in the draft. it would give frye another great target to stare at before he throws an interception. and eventually it would give some QB 3 terrific receivers.
