All you have to do is look at Norv Turner to realize that a great coordinator doesn't necessarily make a great HC. Wade Phillips had two chances already. It's shaping up nicely in Big D (for the rest of the league) because Jason Garrett is just going through some on-the-job training and then he'll be taking over. It's not going to matter what Phillips does. T.O. knows this and will undermine the hell out of him.

Aside from The Tuna, "Jerruh" has had a nasty habit of hiring head coaches that he could control ever since he blew out Jimmy Johnson. He wants to have TOTAL control of the Cowboys, including on the sideline. He should just get it over with and name himself Head Coach.
Meddling owners don't have a good track record when it comes to winning championships. Ask Daniel Snyder. Ask Al Davis. Congratulations, "Jerruh". In a few years, you'll have a shiny new stadium, which will be home to a mediocre football team. You can put lipstick on a pig... |

I have to agree that Phillips has a horrible track record as a head coach. He basically set the Bills back so far, that they are just now getting back into contention five years later. Hey, it could be worse, they could have hired Martz.
