Newark Star-Ledger (scroll down) (registration required): "Patrick Ramsey, who is due a $1.4 million roster bonus March 2, will almost certainly be waived next week. The Jets would then need to sign a third quarterback... The Jets have started preliminary contract talks with WR Jerricho Cotchery on a new deal, according to someone familiar with the Jets' dealings."

I'd like him as a backup. He is not a starter by any means, but I think if we needed him for a couple of weeks he could be sufficient enough to win games. I don't see him as a highly sought after starter for any team so he would come cheap, and then we would have our QB depth we lacked last year.
