The bottom line is the NFL is a business. Joe was promised a contract, it wasn't going to honored. He felt very disrespected and took it personally. (who wouldn't?) So, he left! Its like you get a job and they hire you at an X per year salary but next year they tell you, sorry we have to cut your pay now and your getting demoted. Tell me you wouldn't quit and find another job! I am as pissed as anyone Joe is no longer here. But if he feels he can still play well (and we will see next season) and he is not going to get that opportunity here and can somewhere else, then he has to try. As for the Falcons, that sucks, I REALLY hate them but if they can use Joe and he can do the job and get his worth, then I guess thats where he'll be. Because its what he does, he's a football player. BUT... if he does decide to come back I will still welcome him with open arms, because what he has done for the city and the team the last 6 years can never be undone.

Free-agent wide receiver Joe Horn, who was released by the New Orleans Saints last week, is expected to visit the Packers near the end of the week, according to a league source. Horn has a solid relationship with McCarthy, who was his offensive coordinator in New Orleans for five seasons. The 35-year-old Horn has drawn interest from several teams, the heaviest from the Atlanta Falcons, who hosted him Monday and Tuesday.
Posted March 07, by Ben Maller I think he would make a nice fit opposite Driver. Green Bay has a solid chance of making the playoffs next season also. Veteran wide receiver Joe Horn passed his physical and met with Falcons' coaches and staff members Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of the developments. Contract talks may have taken place after Horn passed the physical, the person said, however Horn did leave the team's Flowery Branch facility late Tuesday afternoon without a completed deal. Posted March 07, by Ben Maller At this point in his career, I don't know why he's considering the Falcons. He's made plenty of money and will get a comparable offer everywhere else. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

Look at Jerry Jones in Dallas. Aikman and Emmitt Smith didn't exactly go riding off into the sunset in ideal manners. Anyway, the whole Joe Horn thing sucks.......I do feel like the Saints will miss Joe Horn's precense, but I can see their point of view when it comes to paying the #2 receiver 6 million dollars this year. And at the same time, I see Joe's point of view of wanting to test his marketability. |
