RE: Johnson anybody?
Mixed feelings. The guy can't stay healthy, plain and simple. Even if he is healthy, is he really that much of an upgrade over how well Billy Miller played last season?

RE: Johnson anybody?
yes he is an upgrade... he led the league in rec. for a TE 2 years ago before he got hurt and he is alot better reciever then miller who couldnt even make the roster during camp.. he had to be added to the roster later b/c of injuries

I agree he's an upgrade. He would not have to come in and be an every down TE. He can split time with Miller, and oddly enough I was content when Owens was in the game as well last season. I'd rather see us go with that trio of TE's than utilize a high draft pick on a TE. I don't want to see a first day pick go to that position personally.
Our offense will be effective as is and our attention needs to be defensive in the draft. This would be one offensive FA I am happy to support. |

I like bringing this guy in as long as the Saints don't overspend for him.
He reminds alot of Ernie Conwell. The only difference is that we didn't really know about Conwell's propencity to get injured. With Johnson, we do. |

EJ is a really good TE, and is way better than Miller, so you're dang right its an upgrade. The guy can block like Conwell and ctach like Shockey. He plays well when healthy and will more than likely not get a high contract deal. I would start em over Miller, and probaly rotate Miller and the rookie in. Campbell gets injured too much as well, Im scared |
