this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; a Chris Leak in the Draft if he's available in the fourth round! I always was impressed with him every time I saw him play. Anyone agree?...

Heck No! This guy is so overrated, I'd tak Smith over him. Not anything against this guy but we have more needs and other things to worry about then getting his sorry butt!

RE: I gotta take a Leak....
actually i have to agree with nedly... i think the guy will be a better pro qb then he was in college only because of the system urban meyer was running... he didnt even fit the system at all... he was one of the best young players when he was a sophmore and then UF hired meyer and he started running his spread option offense which didnt suit leaks style... leak is a drop back passer with good agility and i think he suits the NFL style offense

I know I am biased, but if leak is available late take him. he has a good arm and is a deadly pocket passer. He can pick a defense apart when he has time to sit back and read, and he is suprisingly mobile when he has to be (he toughened up a ton under meyer) he is a great kid to have as a backup and in the right system may end up being a solid pro qb.

Eugene didn't make it long. I don't think he impressed Payton much. At least that's what it looked to me like.
