I'm confused
Im confused as to how to feel about Hollywood going to the dirty birds. Did he take a pay cut and go to ATL to spit in the Saints front office's face. HE TOOK A PAY CUT!! Why couldn't he do that for the team that gave him his big break--the Saints. How many contracts have we renegotiated over the years to keep him happy!! I just don't get it.
My favorite Saint of all time has left the Dome. I am also confused as to why so many people on this site and in the media says its OK that we lost Horn b/c we have good depth at WR. WHO is our depth!! Henderson is still unproven. Jamal Jones is adequate at best. Maybe u guys know somethin I don't. Please inform me. I sure hope we get Stokely to fill Horns void. |
WHO DAT!! WE DAT BABY!!!

RE: I
Colston #1 as pure WR, then you have Reggie #2 (screen passes, but they still count as passes, even though YAC are astronomical), Henderson, Jones, and don't forget Deuce can catch too.
Plus that groin has lingered for 2 seasons now. |

as far as depth is concerned, the way i see it is, if someone is healthy, we have depth. A healthy anybody is better than a Joe that cant run or cut. Truth is, in Atlanta, he will be the #1 guy, if he stays healthy. Here, even if he was healthy all season, Colston is our #1, no matter what. So he wanted some more money and recognition. Hell i could stand out as a WR for the Falcons. As far as making more/less in Atlanta, i dont think anyone knows what we offered him as opposed to what he took with Atlanta. So its hard to say he took less money to go to Atlanta.....cuz we dont know what our offer was......

is this all really happening????

Hell, I'm not mad at him, he has to make a living. As for depth,I was at training camp last year and my thought was who the hell do you cut. If i had that idea then I assume Payton did too. We cut some guys that i thought would make it except for injuries. i look for Payton to bring back some of these guys this training camp. I won't be surprised if he does.

I hate that Joe went to the Falcons, but it was past his time to leave at the salary he was making. We've gotten very little out of him for two consecutive years.
Maybe he makes an impact in ATL because they don't have anyone else, but he wont play all 16 games. |

Hey big thumbs up to Joe Horn for his time with us. Wish he hadn't gone to dirty birds, but he has to take what he can get, in a place that is best for him.
Have to move on. |

It's not like Horn is all that great anymore anyway. He still has talent, but there's so many recievers in the draft we can find someone better, like Craig Davis from LSU or someone else in the second or third round. They won't have his attitude as well. He is one of the cancers from the Haslett era. (IMO). Colston is a far better reciever right now and to be perfectly honest, Copper is camparable to Horn is several aspects. Besides they proved they were able to win without him.

As I said before, the NFL is a business, same goes for the players, in a away they're self-employed.
IMO Horn made a good move, just wish he hadn't gone to Atlanta... |
