Saints sell out Superdome luxury boxes for 2007
Winning is the best salesman. Just ask the New Orleans Saints.
The team, which has not sold out its suites in at least a decade, followed up its 2006 season, when it advanced to the NFC championship game, by selling all its luxury suites in the Louisiana Superdome for the 2007 season. "This is another milestone," said Tim Coulon, chairman of the Superdome Commission. The announcement was made by state officials on Thursday during the monthly meeting of the Louisiana Exposition and Stadium District board of commissioners. Saints officials were not immediately available for comment. The Saints have about 121 of the Superdome's 137 suites, said Doug Thornton, the regional vice president of SMG, the company that manages the Dome. Under terms of the team's contract, the state is obligated to purchase 10 suites from the club. The team itself has about five or six suites that they use for their own purposes at games, Thornton said. |
