Draft Day 2: Player Profile: TE Kevin Boss
Kevin Boss - 6064, 252, 4.78, Western Oregon
Jumped to the front of the tight end class with a scintillating combine performance. Boss weighed in at 6’ 6” 252 pounds and ran a 4.78 second forty yard dash, which in itself isn’t great, but if you look closer at his agility scores, he was awesome indeed. Boss had the top 3-cone time of 6.96 seconds, a 4.41 second 20 yard shuttle run, a 11.81 second 60 yard shuttle run, and a 9’ 8” broad jump. Western Oregon's Pro Day 1 Boss (6-6 5/8, 253 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.71 and 4.72. He also had a 35½-vertical jump, 10-foot long jump and 15 bench presses. He had a phenomenal workout. Western Oregon's Pro Day 2 At Western Oregon's Pro Day tight end Kevin Boss improved his stock. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66, better than the 4.74 he ran at the combine, and lifted 225 pounds 15 times. I have been no stranger saying that the tight end position was my favorite. If a team can find a talented tight end, it creates a miscoverage almost every time. Newton is 6-7 with great hands what better could a quarterback ask for. In the red zone, pass Newton the ball in that is an easy touchdown. Any one see that Sun Bowl this year? Missouri could not stop Newton. Deaftdaddy.com |

I would love to have Boss in the 4th round. I think he could sit a year behind Eric, and come in if we need Two TE set.
