Just a little rundown of some things i have found out about the Saints the last few weeks:

-The reason they didnt sign any of the Cb's in free agency is because they didnt think any of them were worth the amount of money they wanted.

-The reason they didnt sign any of the WR's is because they didnt like any of them. Patton was the only one who they thought fit in and they got him.

-The Saints were not happy with Dwayne Bowe's interview or with Johnathan Wade's personality. Thats not to say they wont draft them, but i would bet against it.

-The Saints are bringing a firm in in the next month or so to do some sketches for possible uniform changes for the 2008 season. Once again, it doesnt mean they will do it, but if they see something they like, they certainly will...but for the 2008 season.

-Though Charles Grant isnt participating in the OTA's, he has been at the facility a few times working out and he seems to think that a long term deal can still get done. That echoes what Loomis said in the Charles Grant is a part of the team's future. Grant still thinks though that he is a top 10 DE and wants to be paid like one.

-As for the draft, the Saints are going to select the best player available. Whether its a WR, CB, LB, G, DE, or DT. They are not stressing need especially early on in the draft. They will take the guy they have rated the highest.

What was the problem with the Bowe interview.

Welcome aboard.

I didn't know that about Bowe. All these years at LSU, he never came across to me like that. Is there an interview somewhere to support this? I'd love to see it.

I'd like to see Grant stay for a while...unless you could trade him and pick a Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson
