IMO David will play for the Saints this coming season, as I said in another post this would turn out to be a huge sign if things go the Saints way.

I just hope David can provide some much needed help on that side of the field. If the Saints do get David, does that mean that all the "mock drafts" listing us as taking a cornerback in Round 1 are wrong? What do guys think will happen in the Draft if the Saints do aquire David?

I do think this does free us from having to pick one on day one. Side note: I love the Indy fans in the attached link calling Jason David "Lil' Scrappy" Kind of tells you what we are getting. |

Of course we have to take BPA into consideration, but also the fact that MM is getting up in age and were pretty thin behind him. Even if we get a 1st round CB he might not be ready in 1-2 years.

I don't know anything about this CB, but if Loomis and Payton are willing to give up a 4th to get him, he must be at least a minor upgrade.
I still think we're looking at CB or LB in the draft regardless of David, but we're obviously not as limited to that if we get him. |
