Wat does Jason David do to our draft?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; now that we got him, how good does everyone think this guy really is? i think i've heard his name twice before last week. anything is better than fred thomas but is david good enough for us to ignore ross ...

not good enough to IGNORE those guys, but he's got huge upside and adds youth, superbowl experience, hunger and depth at the position.

nothing at all. we are for the first time going to go with the BPA approach. last year we got a taste of it and this year should be just as much guessing

So many people wanted the team to get a CB, so now they have him. Let's just hope he plays like they want, like the rest of the team played last year.

He's got to be better than Fred Thomas. Fred was good in his day but so was I. LOL

Guys, its about time to stop thinking about Hall, Revis, and Ross because they will all be top 20 picks...they will all be long gone by the time the Saints are on the clock...so David does not affect them one bit.

I echo the sentiment these guys have in that it gives us the option to go BPA. We can go corner with Ross or Houston. Maybe LB with Poluszny or David Harris. WR with Jarrett, Bowe, maybe Ginn or Meachem. DT with Harrell. We even have the option of adding depth on the line or getting another solid DE.

Something tells me we will be trading up. I get the feeling we will be lookin for a WR now that we have David.

Why trade up for a WR if you know that either Jarrett, Bowe, Meachem, or Smith is going to be there when we pick?

If it wasn't Hall or Revis, I don't think we would have went corner in the first anyways. It definately makes our roster better. It probably just lessens our need to take a corner high. I think we'll go BPA regardless if we had signed him or not.
