Anyone see anyone reason to keep Thomas, who, even with a pay cut, is making decent money for a backup?
I say cut him and save the $2 mill |

I think Thomas could still be productive as our nickel back. Despite his height issues and his lack of speed, he is still a smart veteran who knows the position and could still be an asset in the nickel situation. Also, he does providr us with a backup with plenty of starting experience even though he isnt what he used to be. However, if we draft a young corner, I dont see Thomas and Craft both being on the final roster.

I don't know if Thomas will remain a saint now, but the move does leave the opportunity to draft their best player available over need at CB position.

The reason why he is still able to play in the NFL is because he has good instincts and good mechanics. He was hurt last year because he was often times left out on an island by himself; matched up with receivers who had a lot more speed than he did which forced him to have to guess on plays in order to make up for the lack of his speed. And because he had to guess, he was obviously going to lose sometimes and he did. But this guy can still be serviceable, IMO, just in a limited role.
