Played very, very well at the 2007 Hula Bowl and really opened some eyes. Jones has a solid frame, a good tackler, a natural playmaker who has made big plays from the time he entered the lineup. He has decent speed strong ball skills and loose hips and does a good job diagnosing routes but like many small school prospects there are sets and routes he is not used to seeing.
Obviously there are concerns about level of talent and competition faced week in and week in practice and games.
A small school corner who has many of the qualities that are currently coveted by scouts. Needs to make his mark on special teams.

We may have drafted out of USC or Oklahoma for the last time.

The knock on Jones is run support - perhaps a year in the weight room and practicing against the best running back tandem & receiving corps in the league will help him out.

Practice against 4 good backs. we have the best back field in the NFL now. I look at him as a boost to the outside edge of special team coverage. maybe

A wait and see I guess.
A SAC all-star, has the athletic abilities, and can take interceptions to the house.
2006 Team leader on interceptions (4 int @ 16 yds ave rtn); and kick returner (18 for 16 yds ave)

Also played on offense! 2 catches = 2 TDs (78 yds, and 47 yds). And whoosh he was gone.

Like the man said; needs to get going fast on special teams.
