I understand what you're saying but by being on the field period, you're risking injury. Look at what Hester means to the Bears on special teams... we need something like that here and Bush is capable of being that gamebreaker. Look at Steve Smith in Carolina... he's a ProBowl wide receiver returning punts.

I like the idea of putting Reggie back there on occasion- when we need a big play, or when the opposition is punting from their own endzone- just another worry for the punt team, plus they need to hold their blocks a half second longer.
KR is completely different. You rarely see a guy get his head taken off like you do on a punt. Plus, with Reggie's field vision, it should never happen. On Porter, he did not return kicks in college. He is a long shot to latch on as a special teamer, unless both Thomas and Craft get cut. |
