excellent article about the draft
It's just too soon to be giddy or glum about draft
Toss in cornerback Jason David and the Saints' draft class could qualify as the best in the league, because David, acquired at the expense of a fourth-round pick this year, was a three-year starter for the Colts. He's a proven commodity, landed when the Saints presented the restricted free agent a four-year contract the Super Bowl champions couldn't match and that fourth-round pick, who might not have made the Saints' roster. Other than that, though, it gets a little murky. Because outside of names, heights, weights, college statistics and schools, we don't know any more today about the seven players who comprise the Saints' 2007 rookie class than we did Friday, the day before the draft began. for the rest of this article, click here: http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index...420.xml&coll=1 |
