this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I see 16 tough games so I'm going to wait and see. We all thought Haslet had us headed in the right direction after his first year, too. I'm not going to speak against Payton because what he has done ...

We all thought Haslet had us headed in the right direction after his first year, too. I'm not going to speak against Payton because what he has done feels and looks different than it did with Haz, but still there is no point in expecting so much as 12 or 13 wins. |

I see 12-4 with the best record in the NFC. That means the Superbowl will go thru New Orleans. I see the Bears, Seahawks and Eagles taking a step back, with the 49ers and rams making the playoffs. And within our divison, Falcons is one more dogfight from being a very crappy team, the Panther will not make an improvement from last year as long as Jake D is starting, I know alot of the locals here love Jake but I think we already seened the best of jake. And with the Bucs, Chucky is a one hit wonder, he wins with another mans team, then when he is ask to build his own he looks completely lost.

good arguments
Thanks for the additions. As I said at the beginning, I hope for an excellent
record, but again from what I saw last season the Saints still play down to teams that they should beat and up for the ones that they should not. (as in the Years past, Most always played S.F. well in the late 80's early 90's. Hopefully they can focus out all of that and go in and play really well at home. I think Cin, Baltimore, were home games...and Pitts a tough place to play for any team. And the last game against Carolina was a backup game. So 4 losses that could have been wins. My 10-6 prediction is based on another 3 to 4 games where they falter and 1 or 2 where they already have that playoff spot secured. 12-4 isnt a stretch, but we will have to wait and see how this defense and injury bug play out. oh, and Jessica Albas got one fine Booootay. WHO DAT! |
