“He struggled some. He’s had some blister issues with his feet. He’s overweight,” Payton said following Sunday morning’s practice. “He tweaked his ankle in the morning practice, so it hadn’t been all rosy for him. You know he’s been on that first round tour these guys go on where they visit all these teams and eat a lot of fun dinners, and it looks like it. He’s got a ways to go.”

At least Meachem said the right things after he flopped. He made no excuses, and said he was committed to being ready for June.
The other end of it was that he blamed being wined and dined as the reason he was out of shape. Hmmm, thought that ended two weeks ago. Keyshawn is still available.... |

Definately not encouraging to hear about our first round draft choice, but it's only mid May. He'll get in game shape in no time. I wasn't too fond of the pick in the first place so he surely isn't gaining any brownie points with me right now. I hope he's better than his fellow alum in Stallworth.

Aww heck......
I've read so much about this being a good pick/bad pick.... We did lose Joe, so there is a big hole to fill.....but of course there are so many other holes to fill there in the 1st round. He's a speed guy.....and has been on the so-called 'buffet circle', and he's young, probably catered to for some years, I am not ready to call him on his 'judgement' on these OTA's. I say, let's see what he looks like a solid week or so into full pads in the heat. If he's prepared by then and looking great....then great. If he is hurt and/or still looks like he's pulling a semi behind him....rip away at him. As always, time will tell. |

Then he joked around how he could still play and was better than most guys still in the league.
Anyways, as he was leaving the club, I started doing my Who Dat chant. He smirked at me as he had two drunk Perfect 10 HOT blondes escorting him around his arms on his way out. He probably took them home and helped them with their homework. Yea, that's it. Homework. |

It is May, and people are saying he flopped? He is going to be in shape for TC. Almost every player is out of shape in May. He and Colston will be the best starter WRs in the league. I hope.
