There is more to the game then stats.

I think Young was being overhyped by the media more than playing well, I was pulling for Colston!!!!

But it is all good, that's why this board rules!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, with our success last year, the "popularity contest" that is the pro bowl selection committee will give us some props this year.
The pro bowl "committee" is a vote of 1/3 fans. 1/3 players, and 1/3 coaches. It is completely flawed.
For fans it is a popularity contest; the players vote for teammates and friends, and against enemies.
You figure the coaches would be the most honest, but if I was a coach, I would never vote for any of my own players: risk of injury is not worth it, plus you keep them hungry.

Young got the vote because he was a QB and the media ate him up like there favorite desert. Drew is the one that screwed. To me he was the rookie of the year. The Jags were sunk last but he kept them afloat.
As for the pro bowl the city of New Orleans has never been the medias sweetheart when it comes to football. All they want to do is point and laugh. Even after last year they still reluctant to put out press about the team. Go to KFFL and read it for a month and you will be lucky to get a blurp. It has always been that way and might stay that way till we get a superbowl victory or two.

I think a picture of those four guys standing together when they all made the Pro Bowl in 1992 should hang in the Pro Football HOF.
